〇Tax Exemption Information
The Meitetsu Department Store provides consumption tax refunds free of charge. After paying, please proceed to the tax free counter. The amount equivalent to the consumption tax will be refunded in cash (yen).

〇Tax Exemption Eligibility
■Non-residents (foreigners who have stayed in Japan for less than 6 months)
Japanese nationals who have resided overseas for more than 2 years (within 6 months of return)
　*A proof of residence or a copy of the family register (in writing) that can prove the overseas residence of a non-resident Japanese is required.
　*An entry stamp from the time of entry into Japan is required in the passport. (Entry through an automatic gate is not exempt from duty as it does not have a stamp)
　Those working in Japan are not exempt from tax.

〇Please bring the following four items
1.Purchased goods
2.Passport
3.Receipt
4.Card to be used
(If paying by credit card)
Passport, receipt, and card name must match

〇Notes
On the day of the event, the person who made the purchase must apply in person. Substitutes will not be accepted.
Only purchases made on the day of the event are eligible for tax exemption. Purchases made on other days cannot be combined to receive tax exemption.
